What to know about bar soap

Bar soap sits on your skin briefly but is used daily, and usually on your entire body. Welpr looks at the formulation — the base oils or fats, the fragrance, the preservatives, and any extra additives — to make sure every ingredient serves a purpose and meets non-toxic standards.

  • Because bar soap touches so much of your skin every day, even small differences in formulation add up over time.
  • Many conventional bar soaps include synthetic fragrance, harsh surfactants, or unnecessary additives that cleaner options skip entirely.

Check what you're using now
